The Quinta do Retiro Farmhouse Complex is in a small, enclosed valley. The valley has a terraced landscape and covers around 9 hectares. The grounds are 350 metres above sea level. The complex is just outside the village of Covas in the Beira Litoral region. The area is known as Middle Portugal.
There is an ecological swimming pool in the middle of the estate. The pool is for shared use. It is filled with water from the farmhouse's own source. The pool is within walking distance of the holiday homes. The water is crystal clear due to natural filtration methods using stones, plants and small fish. The swimming pool is surrounded by a sun terrace. There is a play area with sand-pit, swing, slide and trampoline. The grounds have fruit trees, olive groves and grapevines. A small river with rockeries and miniature waterfalls flows through the grounds.
The apartment has the TV, DVD, fireplace in the living room, en open plan kitchen. Washing machine is to be shared with the other guests.
