The Essl Museum gilds as one of the main works of the Austrian architect and state prize winner Heinz Tesar. From 1999, the responsibility for perfecting Tesar's unmistakable design language.
The Essl Museum serves as a hostel for the 7,000 works in the Essl Collection with an exhibition area of 3,200 m2 and is one of the most important private museums for contemporary art in the world.
In the light-flooded rooms, which face the cool outer facade, the visitor is terrified of contemporary art as an interplay of work, light, space and movement. Due to the extensive green areas in the outside area and the large panorama windows, which allow views through and outlooks in the surrounding area characterized by the Danube floodplains, the Essl Museum is a cutting point that stands out
