As we walk down Calle Blanco, we find a large part of the port's highway panorama. But between so much poster and license to sell alcoholic beverages, we see large windows that advertise the Sala el Farol, an art gallery of the University of Valparaíso.
Clearly, that a university has a room in which both regional and national art are permanently displayed causes envy. The study houses are more associated with reel activities, whether they are parties or clubs, leaving aside cultural activities for those careers more linked to artistic expressions.
However, the University of Valparaíso shows us that art is no longer typical of an elite, that is why the exhibitions that are constantly held are open to the public for free.

There are several alternatives to get to Valparaíso:
By bus
The trip takes 1 hour 45 minutes from Santiago. Existing departures with a frequency of 15 minutes, the bus companies offer a good level of service and comfort.
By car
For those who wish to arrive by car from Santiago, they should take Route 68, the estimated travel time being 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The disciplines exposed here are photography, painting, textiles, videos, among others, depending solely on the space that the room has and the selection criteria of the director and specialized advisers on the subject.
The idea is to show the works of people who have a certain career or young artists who have won an award.
The samples are constantly rotating in order to give many authors the possibility to exhibit for free, just in exchange for one of the works, which become part of the university's heritage. In this way, the artists, the university and the public who see art for free win.
