It is known ancestrally as the ´´Cuna del Curanderismo´´ due to the number of lagoons that, according to testimonies, have healing virtues.



The fact of being away from large cities and the presence of abundant vegetation, favors environmental pollution. These forests are characteristic for their variety of flora and fauna.



The province of Huancabamba is located in the East of the Piura Region. It limits to the north with the province of Ayabaca and the Republic of Ecuador, to the west with the Cajamarca region, to the east with the province of Morropón and to the south with the Lambayeque region.

Its flora and fauna is multiple and varied, distinguishing itself mainly by its location on the various altitudinal floors. The climate is variable in the province, while in the valley of Huancabamba it is slightly humid and temperate in the high parts it is very humid and accentuated cold; On the other hand, in the yunga zone near the coast it appears as slightly humid and warm temperate.





The province of Huancabamba offers us various tourist resources are: The Huringas lagoons, the El Sitán waterfall, the Valley of the Infiernillos, Canchaque, called the Peruvian Switzerland; the temple of the jaguars, the Ruins of Paratón, among other resources, which add to the beauty of the geography of Huancabamba.
