12.5 km from Maceió, located on the banks of the Al 101 Norte road, it is also known as "Mirante da Sereia" since the statue of a large mermaid was erected on the coral reefs there.

Approximately 2.5 km from the city center, the best known beach in Maceió, it has the name of Tupi origin, which means "TERRA DOS ESPINHOS" or "REGIÃO DOS ESPINHOS".



In addition to the so-called beauty, Pajuçara is pure tranquility in its waters, thanks to the reefs that make it safe for bathing, especially for children.



Its differential in relation to other beaches in the city are its natural pools, located 2 km from the coast. The natural pool of Pajuçara, one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Maceió, if not the whole of northeastern Brazil, is formed by rings of coral reefs. Access is made on fishermen's rafts, preferably at low tide times.



Its waterfront is full of bars, nightclubs, hotels and restaurants, as well as countless beach huts.
