It was inaugurated on October 11, 1930 with the presence of President Carlos Ibáñez Del Campo. This amphitheater is part of the cultural and artistic history of the Garden city.
A large number of celebrities, Ballet companies, operas and the most varied numbers from the entertainment world have paraded on its stage.
Its construction began in 1925, during the period of Mayor Unzurrunzaga. The building plans were drawn up by the architects Achilles Landoff and Renato Schiavon.
The Municipal Council of Viña del Mar, approved it as a historical and architectural building on Tuesday May 9, 2000. It is located in Plaza Sucre without number

By car:
One of the options to get to Viña del Mar is through Route 68, you enter Valparaíso and follow the correct signs to get to Viña. The Viña - Valparaíso Highway is 5.5 km long and begins in Caleta Abarca.
There is also a direct route to Viña del Mar from Route 68 towards Variante Agua Santa or Route 66, to travel a beautiful path with views of the Bay of Valparaíso and the beaches of Viña del Mar.
The final construction was in the classical Greek-Roman style, simple but very elegant from the entrance, with the staircases that enhance the façade, its large windows and elegant Greco-Roman bars and doors that sparkle with the lights of the interior and the façade, the theater enhances the acoustics, the velvet curtain brought from Milan by the way in a deep blue color, the Presidential and Mayor's Boxes and the rest of the towns are the elements that give distinction and category to this amphitheater.
