The Sausalito Lagoon corresponds to the old reservoir ´´Hacienda La Viña del Mar´´ of the Vergara family. It was built at a time when the scarcity of water endangered the vineyards. Currently, it is a large tourist complex that offers the visitor the opportunity to enjoy the lagoon beach, boat rides, water skiing, tennis courts, swimming pools and various entertainment for adults and children.

Santiago-Viña del Mar: land route by Route 68 from Santiago and also by Route Vía Las Palmas. Valparaíso-Viña del Mar: Land route by Viña-Valparaíso highway or by Avenida España. Viña del Mar-Laguna Sausalito: land route. Access by Calle Uno Norte, turning onto Av. Los Castaños.
It also has a replica of a Mississippi steamboat, which was used as a floating disco, today operating as a restaurant.
